Community service for woman who took fake guns into school

A court has heard a woman caused chaos after taking two fake guns into a school.

The jury was told the woman, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, mentioned to another woman that she had them in her handbag.

Armed police were called to the family centre at Llanrwst in the Conwy Valley to deal with the incident.

Sophie Steel-Perkins today admitted possessing the imitation firearms at Caernarfon Crown Court.

She was given a suspended prison sentence and told she must do 200 hours community unpaid work.

I regard you as a woman of good character and I bear in mind your chaotic lifestyle. But you ought to remember if you offend again you are inevitably going to go to prison.
