Remaining cold, but dry and often bright

After yet another frosty start we're in for a more spring-like day. There's plenty of sunshine around particularly around southern and western parts but it's going to remain cold.

This afternoon we'll see the cloud move around a little, so some places will be brighter than others. Whilst it's still much chillier than it should be at this time of year, the wind has become a little less brisk. Find a sheltered spot in the sunshine then the sun should feel rather pleasant.

Another cold and frosty night can be expected with lows of minus 3C, with temperatures falling even further in rural parts.

Good Friday starts in a generally fine and sunny vein. The wind will pick up across southern parts, so it will feel rather cold here. Into the afternoon cloud will build for many places. Out of the sunshine it will feel cold with highs of just 4-5C.

Temperatures at this time of year should be 11-13C!!
