Margaret Thatcher's funeral

Falklands veterans from the Welsh Guards have helped lead the funeral procession for Baroness Thatcher at St Paul's Cathedral. Welsh politicians and public figures were also at the service, as people lined the streets outside.

Lady Thatcher 'inspired me' - Cheryl Gillan

Former Welsh Secretary Cheryl Gillan MP has told MPs that it was wrong to claim that Margaret Thatcher did little for other women.

She was inspiring and personally encouraging to other women. It was directly as a conversation with her that I thought I could become a Member of Parliament.

She was braver than many men. She took on the dictators -and the misogynists- and triumphed.
