Whilst there's plenty of cloud around there are enough breaks to allow for some bright or even sunny spells this afternoon. A brisk breeze will help to chop up the cloud and keep it moving. There will be a few scattered showers around and some, near the border, could be on the heavy side.
Highs this afternoon are expected to reach 14C, but it will feel cooler in the breeze and temperatures will drop in the showers.
Overnight a band of rain will rattle across Wales so that by 3am it will already be clearing eastern parts of the country leaving a few lingering showers. Another frost free night to come with lows of 7-9C and the strong winds continue.
Tuesday starts dry and bright with a few scattered showers arriving mid morning. The move along in the breeze. Into the afternoon there's a good chance that many parts of Wales could be cloudless, the south east seeing a little more cloud. So a fine sunny and mild end to the day.
Highs of 14C but feeling fresh in the southwesterly wind.
