A wet and windy Wednesday

Today: Another windy day, which will be cloudy at first with outbreaks of light rain in places. Staying cloudy and wet in the west, but eastern areas should be brighter and warmer this afternoon, before clouding up again this evening. Maximum Temperature 17 °C.

Tonight: Very windy overnight with gales or severe gales for affecting some Irish Sea coasts. A yellow warning has been issued to "be aware" .Most areas dry for much of the night, although outbreaks of rain possible. Minimum Temperature 6 °C.

Thursday: Some sunny spells, but chance of showers, some of which will be heavy. Very windy at first, although winds should ease somewhat during the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 12 °C.
