It was a truly glorious start to the day with the satellite picture suggesting that the skies were cloudless at one point this morning. A little fairweather cloud has since bubbled up and there may be enough for a shower later but on the whole it's an afternoon of fine sunshine.
After a chilly start the temperatures have risen quickly with highs expected of 14C, and could nudge higher in places.
Tonight temperatures tumble away quickly at first under clearing skies reaching lows of 3C. However, as the night progresses more cloud will build from the northwest as a rain band approaches.
Sunday feels rather different. A band of rain spreads quickly across Wales. It has the potential to be heavy across the northwestern hills but rapidly break up to become lighter and patchier. By the afternoon the main band will be clearing Wales to leave some showers but some brighter weather too.
Temperatures will be down on Saturday with highs of 10-11C, feeling cooler still in the showers.
