Two Penarth schools to hold MMR catch-up clinics

Two secondary schools in the Vale of Glamorgan will hold MMR catch-up clinics later this week.

Staff from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is offering vaccinations to children who have either not been immunised, or have only received one MMR dose, at Stanwell School on Thursday and St Cyres on Friday.

Both schools are in Penarth.

The health board did not hold further Saturday drop-in clinics last weekend, saying "they are not the most effective way of targeting the children and young people most at risk."

From next week we’re hoping to increase the number and frequency of school sessions across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, so would urge parents to keep an eye out for further information which will be sent to them over the coming weeks.
