Newport County are away at Grimsby Town in the first leg of their Blue Square Bet Premier semi-final tonight.
The two sides are facing one another for three games in a row - after Grimsby won 3-0 in the final game of the regular season on Saturday and ahead of the play-off second leg in South Wales on Sunday.
Newport were already secured of finishing third in the table, and rested a number of first-choice players.
Manager Justin Edinburgh said: "We will be ready and if people think that the 3-0 loss has a bearing they are kidding themselves."
"The players could be history makers over the next week or so. This could be the time in their lives where County supporters will remember their names forever – the players that got them back in the Football League."
