Parents urged to make use of MMR drop-in clinics

Parents in Swansea and Bridgend are being urged to get their children vaccinated against measles. Drop-in clinics are being held between 10am and 4pm in Morriston Hospital, Singleton Hospital, Princess of Wales Hospital and Neath Port Talbot Hospital.

We are very pleased with the numbers of parents bringing their children for MMR; but we still need to see more school-age children - in particular the 10-18 year-olds - coming forward for jabs, if they missed having them when they were little.

We are continuing to offering MMR in comprehensive and special schools in the ABMU area and urge parents of susceptible children to ensure they sign consent forms to enable our vaccination teams to give them the MMR.

– Dr Sara Hayes, ABMU's Director of Public Heath
