The seven-year-old girl told police she saw a man getting out of a van, and he looked as though he was waiting for somebody.
"I don't think it would be April he was waiting for", she said.
"She got in the car, the man didn't put her in the car, but she did. She wasn't crying and she was happy. She got in the back of the van and it just drove off", she said, in an interview the day after April went missing.
