Garage owner Robert Mark Evans gave evidence in the witness box.
"He [Bridger] seemed keen to get out and search so I said leave vehicle and go" he told Elwen Evans QC.
He told the court that he saw Mark Bridger twice on 2 October - between 9.15am and 9.30am, and later between 1pm and 1.30pm, when they discussed the best way of repairing the vehicle.
Defence barrister Brendan Kelly QC showed Mr Evans a picture of a Land Rover, and asked whether a child would have trouble opening door of the vehicle - a common problem on Discoveries.
Mr Evans said "yes".
