Blood found at suspect's home matches April Jones' DNA

A forensic scientist has told a court how blood matching April Jones' DNA was found in the cottage of the man accused of her murder. The expert told the jury at Mold Crown Court there was a 'considerable amount of blood' on the living room carpet

But they heard there was no evidence of a collision on Mark Bridger's Land Rover. The 47-year-old says he accidentally knocked the 5-year-old over but denies abduction, murder and intending to pervert the course of justice. Our Correspondent Carole Green reports from the court

April Jones murder trial

Mark Bridger has been jailed for life for the abduction and murder of five-year-old April Jones from Machynlleth. The 47-year-old was also found guilty of perverting the course of justice. The judge said he will never be released from prison.
