Man due to be sentenced for Maesteg stabbing

A man found guilty of stabbing a stranger to death in Maesteg will be sentenced later.

Thomas Sutton, 20, died after being stabbed nine times by Stuart Worvell in June last year. Worvell was convicted of the manslaughter of Mr Sutton, after a jury found him not guilty of murder.

Mr Sutton's friend, Kyle Harris, was stabbed three times in the incident, but the jury cleared Worvell of a charge of attempted murder.

Worvell will appear at Cardiff Crown Court this afternoon.
