The Urdd National Eisteddfod begins today. The festival is one of Europe's largest youth festivals and this year is being held in Pembrokeshire. It pulls in crowds of around 90,000 each year and Cilwendeg near Boncath is playing host.

Various events are planned to allow young people to enjoy activities through the medium of Welsh. The Urdd movement is being granted £800,000 from the Welsh Government to help bolster its popularity and further secure the future of the Welsh language.
