Tremor hits north Wales

Some people in north Wales were awoken by a tremor in the early hours of this morning. The British Geological Survey says the tremor had an estimated magnitude of 3.8 and was centred on the Llyn Peninsula.

Earthquake reports within 100km of epicentre

The British Geological Survey has received more than 100 reports from people who felt the earthquake, most of whom were within a 100km radius.

The epicentre of the earthquake in the Irish Sea was 15km away from Abersoch.
