One of Wales' iconic old-fashioned cinemas, the Pola in Welshpool, will close today. It opened in 1938, has been family-run for years, and still uses the traditional 35mm format.
The owners said closing was due to new technologies and spiralling costs, and it will show a final two films this evening.
