Rocky Horror fans audition to perform on show's tour

Open auditions will be held at The Cardiff New Theatre today to give fans of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' the chance to perform on stage with the cast.

The winner will appear at the Bristol Hippodrome with the cast of the show in August for the show's 40th anniversary tour.

The audition panel will include Rocky Horror Show Director Chris Luscombe, Musical Director Tony Castro and Choreographer Nathan Wright.

Since its first appearance at the Royal Court Theatre in June 1973, Richard O'Brien's Rocky Horror Show has been performed worldwide for nearly 40 years in over 30 countries in every continent and has been translated into more than 20 languages.

Many stars, including Russell Crowe, Tim Curry, Jerry Springer and Meatloaf have appeared in the show over the past 40 years.
