Eight day walk begins for Welsh air ambulance

A 200 mile sponsored walk to support the Wales Air Ambulance starts today.

First Minister, Carwyn Jones will officially start the walk in Swansea that will take 8 days and finish in Caernarfon.

Welsh tenor Rhys Meirion is an Ambassador for the Wales Air Ambulance and hopes to raise thousands of pounds for the service that relies entirely on charity donations.

Last year's walk raised £90,000 for the organisation.

The route will take them along the coast to Mumbles, across the Gower to Llanelli, Carmarthen, Lampeter, Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Machynlleth, Dinas Mawddwy, Dolgellau, Porthmadog, Criccieth and Caernarfon.
