Accident experts are tonight investigating how a train carrying up to two hundred passengers came to hit a tractor trailer on one of the main lines across Mid Wales.
Two people needed hospital treatment after the collision.
The accident happened near the Buttington Crossing, just north of Welshpool at 11.49, sparking a major emergency operation, as Kevin Ashford reports.
