Swiss are first-time winners at the Royal Welsh

A breed of cattle today marked its very first appearance as part of the Royal Welsh Show. Brown Swiss are becoming an increasingly popular dairy herd, and are thought to have been in Britain for around forty years. Nicola Hendy reports.

Royal Welsh Show 2013

The Royal Welsh Show has drawn to a close, after a 50th year at its base in Llanelwedd. 71,500 visitors came through the gates on Wednesday, making it the busiest day ever. The Prince of Wales was also there, talking about his new grandson.
