A former chief executive of Caerphilly Council is being brought back to run the authority.
The move comes after the current boss was suspended while a police investigation is carried out into salary awards.
Stuart Rosser, who retired from the authority in 2010, was appointed as Interim Chief Executive at a council meeting on Tuesday.
