Snowdonia: Mountain rescue team warn climbers to be prepared

Climbers on the peaks of Snowdonia have been urged not to rely on mobile phones for navigation, after three men in their twenties got into difficulty last night.

The three men were attempting the 14 peaks higher than 3000 ft. On the 14th peak at Foel Fras, they became lost in the darkness, wind and rain at about 11 pm last night.

Five men from the Ogwen mountain rescue team eventually found the trio at 5.30 am this morning.
