Boats on the water for Menai Strait race

Over 100 boats are taking part in the Menai Strait Regattas, between 5 and 17 August.

Today's race round Puffin Island is one of the highlights of the two-week Menai Straits Regattas.

The four-hour race started from Beaumaris and is sailing north towards the uninhabited island, off the eastern tip of Anglesey.

There, racers can hope to catch a glimpse of local wildlife, including guillemot, razorbill, grey seals and puffins.
