It was rather wet overnight with Llanbrynmair topping the rain tables with 82mm falling, that's over 3 inches. The rain has already cleared Wales but there's another dose of wet weather on it's way for Saturday.
The rest of Friday is set fine with plenty of sunny spells and even fine sunshine on offer. There is a risk of a sharp shower across the south east of Wales but this is likely to be very isolated.
The rain has also helped to freshen things up, the humidity has dropped and this allows temperatures to rise quickly (dry air warms up more easily than humid air). As a result we could reach highs of 24C in places.
After an evening of sunny spells more cloud arrives from the west and eventually some rain. The cloud will keep it mild but hopefully not too sticky. Lows remain in double figures.
Saturday sees more rain pushing across Wales. Again it's likely to be heavy for a while, but more broken than Thursday night's rain. It's expected we could get up to an inch of rain in places topping up the rain that's already fallen.
In between all this rain there could be some brighter breaks but this is unlikely to help with temperatures, highs of 19C. The strong winds will also temper how things will feel. We could see some gale force gusts around the coast for a while.
