Cardiff Castle will be transformed into a medieval tented village this weekend with the return of the Grand Medieval Mêlée.
Inside the colourful village, there will be demonstrations of cooking, weaving, falconry, archery and storytelling reminiscent of life 700 years ago.
During the day there will be tournaments, mock battles and mêlées, when a knight's reputation and fortune was made or lost on the battlefield.
Cabinet Member for Sport, Culture and Leisure, Cllr Ramesh Patel, said:
”The Grand Medieval Mêlée provides a step back in time for visitors to discover history gone by giving an opportunity for children to learn about medieval times in a fun and informative way. This is a great day out for families during the school summer holidays.”
