ITV Wales understands that Gareth Bale is to link up with the Wales squad for the World Cup Qualifiers with Macedonia and Serbia.

Bale was today unveiled to Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabéu after completing his world record move to the Spanish giants.

The FAW have said they expect Bale to report for international duty and it's understood Bale has contacted Wales officials to confirm he's flying back to Cardiff in the next 24 hours.

Bale hasn't featured in any games for over a month after being ruled out with a foot injury and watched from the stands during Wales' recent goalless draw against the Republic of Ireland last month.

The rest of the Wales squad met up in Cardiff today and fly out to Macedonia on Thursday for their World Cup Qualifying Group A game on Friday evening.

Chris Coleman's men then face Serbia in Cardiff on 10th September.
