Police make fifth arrest in Newport shooting probe

Officers investigating a shooting incident in Newport have made a fifth arrest.

Armed police made the arrest in the St Julians area of the city this afternoon.

Police were called to the incident on Chepstow Road at 11.30pm on 3rd September.

Newport shooting incident

A 24-year-old Newport man has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder following a shooting incident in September. Two men, aged 20 and 22, have previously been charged with attempted murder. Three remain on bail.
