Council blasts "vicious and hateful" attack at Neath mosque

The incident happened in the early hours of Friday morning

"Such vicious and hateful attacks are entirely at odds with the views of the wider community and I would like to commend the members of the public who intervened and informed the Police" says Cllr Peter Rees, Deputy Leader of Neath Port Talbot Council

"I intend to visit the leaders of the Mosque, to offer the full support of the Council to the Imam and the community that the Mosque serves.”

A 21 year-old man has appeared in court charged with attacking a husband and wife after allegedly vandalising a mosque in Neath.
