Tributes to teenage girl killed in Flintshire crash

Tributes have been paid to a teenage girl who died when the car she was travelling in with friends collided with a cattle truck.

The incident happened on Friday night at Penymynydd in Flintshire.

Three people were trapped in the wreckage of the car, and had to be released by firefighters using specialist cutting equipment.

The girl who died has been named as 16-year-old Sarah Jepson from Flintshire.

Her family said: "Sarah was taken from us so tragically, and there is nothing that can be said to comfort us at this time of loss."

Her mother Jacqui said: "Sarah was so full of life, she was an intelligent insightful teenager. She was so kind, caring, loving and an absolute pleasure to be around."

"Sarah was an adventurist who loved sports and was an excellent swimmer. She had such a good sense of humour and was a fantastic artist."

She had recently started her ‘A’ Levels at Deeside College.

North Wales Police is appealing for witnesses to the collision.
