Flood warning in run up to Christmas

Natural Resources Wales has issued a warning to prepared for the possibility of localised flooding over the next few days up until Christmas.

It says 'persistent and intense rainfall' is expected to reach Wales early tomorrow morning, continuing until Tuesday.

Natural Resources Wales has warned of localised flooding in the run up to Christmas.

Most parts of Wales will experience heavy rainfall at some point, but South, West and Mid Wales will be worst affected.

After heavy rainfall earlier this week, the ground is still saturated, making flooding more likely.

It has advised people travelling over Christmas to allow extra time as conditions may be difficult.
