A former head of children's homes in North Wales has denied charges of historic sex abuse. John Allen pleaded not guilty to 39 charges at Caernarfon Crown Court. Rob Shelley reports.

Former children's home boss denies sex abuse charges

The former head of a north Wales children's home has pleaded not guilty to more than 30 charges of indecent and sexual assault. John Allen, 72, was the founder and head of Bryn Alyn Community, which ran a number of homes in the north Wales area.
