Turning wet and windy with hill snow and gales


A dry, cloudy start in the north, but rain and strong winds in the south will quickly spread northwards, bringing gales and some hill snow. The rain will become more showery through the afternoon as winds increase further. Maximum temperature 11 deg C (52 deg F).


Very windy with gales at times, coupled with further showers or periods of rain. Later in the night the showers should start to become less frequent but winds staying strong. Minimum temperature 4 deg C (39 deg F).


Strong winds, perhaps gale force initially, will slowly lessen through the day. Scattered, blustery showers will also ease but could still be heavy at times, some bright spells. Maximum temperature 8 deg C (46 deg F).

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

A drier day on Sunday with light winds and sunny spells. Becoming wet and windy Sunday evening, with rain lingering through Monday but easing. Tuesday, mostly dry but rather cloudy.
