Sports stars including Paralympian Aled Davies have been named among 130 people who will carry the baton on the Queen's Baton Relay in Wales in May, ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Welsh baton bearers for Queen's Baton Relay announced

The names of over 130 people who will carry the baton in May when the Glasgow 2014 Queen's Baton Relay touches down in Wales have been announced today.

Double Commonwealth gold medallist, Kirsty Wade, Olympic and Commonwealth weightlifter, Michaela Breeze, London 2012 Paralympic gold medallist Aled Davies and Wales Rugby Sevens and Scarlets star, Lee Williams are just a few of the athletes from Wales' sporting hall of fame that have been confirmed.

Each baton bearer will carry the baton as it takes its seven-day journey across Wales' towns, villages and communities.
