A man has appeared before magistrates charged with murdering a 45-year-old man whose body was found in the River Taff.
Gareth Wyn Jones, 28, who had been living at a homeless shelter in Cardiff, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court this morning accused of murdering David Alun Lewis.
The body of Mr Lewis, from Ystrad Mynach, was discovered in the River Taff in Grangetown last Wednesday evening.
Jones was remanded in custody to appear at Cardiff Crown Court at a later date.
