Thursday: Sunshine and scattered showers

Plenty of sunshine around today but the risk of some scattered showers too. These could be heavy at times.

Light winds means it should feel pleasant with highs of 14 degrees Centigrade along Cardigan Bay and 16 in Gwent and areas of Powys.

A generally clear evening, just the risk of one or two showers in the north during the early part.

Cloud will develop along the Welsh border throughout the early hours and will linger into the morning, making it rather a murky start.

Elsewhere a fairly dry and bright morning.

Light winds into the afternoon means it will once again feel pleasantly warm.

By around 6pm rain will begin to shift into the east of the country.

Turning unsettled just about everywhere on Saturday with plenty of wind and rain.
