Around 130 jobs are being created in Newport and Cardiff by an American technology company,
Alert Logic is establishing its European headquarters and a state-of-the-art European Security Operations Centre in Cardiff, along with a UK datea centr
Economy minister Edwina Hart AM said: "The company has a global customer base and the management team found Cardiff offered the perfect solution, with Newport their preferred location for their European data centre.
"South Wales has a high concentration of active and innovative companies and university expertise in the trust and security sector. The region has a growing recognition as one of the primary locations in the UK for the research, development and commercialisation of security products and services."
The jobs are backed by £1.15million of business finance from the Welsh Government, which will create 122 jobs.
The new Cardiff centre will replicate the current security operation centre in Houston, Texas.
Alert Logic plans to recruit 50 researchers and analysts this year followed by further recruitment next year.
