Citizens Advice Cymru says there are some simple ways to avoid falling victims to energy-saving scams.
Don't wait to be cold called:
- Contact your supplier or go to a trusted source if you're looking to cut your energy bills
Check it's legitimate:
- If you are cold-called, get advice before agreeing to anything
- Call the Citizens Advice consumer helpline 08454 04 05 06
- Check if the firm is an approved 'Green Deal' provider on the Department for Energy and Climate Change website.
