Today marks the 70th anniversary of the D Day landings with surviving veterans, including some from Wales, attending commemoration events in Northern France near to where the fighting took place.
Port Talbot resident Clifford Baker took part in the landings and will travel to France with his grand-daughter to remember his D-Day experience.
He recalls what he faced when he stormed the beaches:
