Cerys Matthews and Warren Gatland to receive Queen's Birthday Honours

Singer, author and broadcaster Cerys Matthews and Wales rugby coach Warren Gatland are among a number of recipients of the Queen's Birthday Honours.

65 people feature on the Wales list, with 2 receiving CBEs, 8 awarded OBEs, 32 awarded MBEs and 22 receiving BMEs (British Empire Medals).

Gatland will receive an OBE for services to rugby, whilst Matthews is to be awarded and MBE for services to music.

Prof. Michael Owen, Director of the Neuroscience and Mental Health Research Institute at Cardiff University, is also to receive a knighthood for services to neuroscience and mental health.
