A gang of rogue builders who ripped off scores of people by over-charging them for poor or incomplete work have been sentenced at Newport Crown Court
The men, from the eastern area of Cardiff, preyed on elderly and vulnerable people, the eldest of which was 98-year-old.
Tom Connors was given a 42 months custodial sentence reduced to 38 and will serve half in prison, the other half on license.
Richard McCarthy was given a 27 months sentence reduced to 25 months. He will serve half in prison half on licence.
Ben Jones & Keith Palmer both received a 11 month sentence each suspended for two years, along with 240 hours of unpaid work each and a curfew between 8pm and 6am.
