Politicians take to the pitch for charity rugby match

As the nation gears up for tonight's Six Nations opener, politicians have taken to the pitch at Cardiff Arms Park for what has been dubbed the 'real' Wales V England showdown.

Assembly Rugby players - wearing black - include Leader of the Opposition Andrew RT Davies AM and Ynys Môn AM Rhun Ap Iorwerth.

Meanwhile, representing Commons & Lords - in green - are Secretary of State for Wales Stephen Crabb and Vale of Glamorgan MP Alun Cairns.

The teams are contesting their ninth annual fixture to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK, with Assembly Rugby seeking their fourth consecutive win.

It's a promising start for Assembly, who lead 19-0 at half-time.
