26-year-old Chris Perry admitted he loves Wales and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale and was in France for every match in the finals.

But his dream year got even better when partner Tracy Cann ended 2016 by welcoming a new baby boy.

Chris, who also has seven-year-old daughter Reece and works as a groundsman, welcomed Bale Perry on New Year's Eve.

We have already had a beautiful summer thanks to Chris Coleman's Welsh team. But to be able to have a son born in the same year and name it after the best Welsh player of all time makes it so special. We were overjoyed to know we were having a baby boy just before the Euros started. I think all fathers would one day like to think their sons could perform in a Welsh shirt and make the fans happy like Bale and company did this summer.
