A man has fallen to his death while climbing in Snowdonia.

It happened at Bristly Ridge, in the Glyder range, above the Ogwen Valley.

Police were called to reports that someone had fallen into a gully.

Two people were roped down to where the man had landed with head injuries.

The Ogwen Valley mountain rescue team called in a coastguard helicopter which winched the man off the mountain to hospital.
