Plaid Cymru has kept overall control of Gwynedd, with 41 of the 75 seats. It would have been 42 but one of the party's candidates lost when he drew lots with an opponent who had the same number of votes.
Labour has suffered bruising losses in Wales, but the Conservatives failed to make as many gains as expected.
