Armed police officers helped rush a heavily pregnant woman to hospital after pulling over a suspected speeding car.
The officers from the Pembrokeshire Armed Response Unit made the unexpected special delivery whilst patrolling in the A40 near Carmarthen on Monday morning.
After being overtaken by what appeared to be a speeding motorist, PC's Darren Trevan and John Woodcock jumped to action.
On speaking to the occupants of the vehicle, and quickly realising that one of them was heavily pregnant, PC Woodcock drove the couple's car to hospital while PC Trevan provided the the escort.
They made it to Glangwili General Hospital just in time for the birth of a baby boy.
Mother, father and baby are said to be doing well.
