Centre Jonathan Davies says he's 'humbled' at being handed the Lions player of the series award by his teammates.

The 29 year old played every minute of all three tests against New Zealand. He also featured in all three matches of the previous Lions Tour to Australia in 2013.

The Lions drew Saturday's match at Eden Park 15-15. It means the series finished 1 all. It's the first time the Lions haven't lost a series in New Zealand since 1971.

I’m very humble, chuffed to bits to get the award, voted by your peers. But you look back and it’s a team effort, with 40-odd players and we dug in and achieved something very special. I’m chuffed to bits.

– Jonathan Davies
