Members of the public will be given the chance to look round the new South Bristol Community Hospital before it becomes a working hospital at the end of this month. Our Health Correspondent Rebecca Broxton has been taking a look round the new building:
The hospital will provide a Minor Injuries Unit and an out-of-hours GP service, day surgery facilities, stroke rehabilitation, medical imaging and dental facilities.
At 2pm members of the public will be able to look round the hospital for the first time. The hospital, which is built on the site of the former Whitchurch Airport will replace outdated facilities at Bristol General Hospital.
The hospital is part of the Hengrove Park Regeneration Project that will include a new Skills Academy, a sports and leisure centre, corporate headquarters and transport infrastructure improvements.
