McInnes: I want three more players
by Tim Walsh
Bristol City manager Derek McInnes has targeted three more signings before the start of the new Championship season.
After presenting new signings Greg Cunningham and Jody Morris to the press today at City's Failand training ground, McInnes revealed he was looking at bringing in a goalkeeper, central defender and a striker.
One notable absence from today's first training session was midfielder Kalifa Cisse, who is looking at other options after his contract recently expired.
City's squad will have seven training sessions in the next four days, before heading to Spain early next week for a pre-season training camp.
Our reporter Chris Spittles was at Failand today. You can watch interviews with Derek McInnes and the new signings below.
– Derek McInnes, Bristol City managerWe've managed to free up some space to recruit and bring some players in.
We're looking at bringing in a few more before the campaign starts.
– Jody Morris, Bristol City midfielderI have a massive respect for the gaffer.
He's one of the best managers I've played under.
– Greg Cunningham, Bristol City defenderI like to get forward. I like to get on the overlap.
First and foremost I'm a defender, and like any defender I pride myself on clean sheets, but I've got a bit of pace so I like get forward and try and pop up with a few assists and maybe a goal or two.
