Swindon ready for Villa test
by Tim Walsh
Swindon Town have one of their toughest tests of the season so far tonight, as Aston Villa visit the County Ground.
Paolo Di Canio's men take on the Premier League giants in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. They go into the game off the back of an excellent 4-0 win at Stevenage on Saturday.
Villa have been struggling in the league and are just outside the relegation zone after only picking up one win all season.
Paul Lambert's side made it through to the fourth round after a shock 4-2 extra-time win at Premier League champions Manchester City.
Swindon have already beaten top flight opposition in the Capital One Cup. They won 4-3 at Stoke City in the second round.
Our cameras have been to the County Ground to hear manager Paolo Di Canio's pre-match thoughts:
– Paolo Di Canio, Swindon Town managerI told them we can win because we have one chance.
There is one chance, so if we use this chance we can win.
Everytime you can win - against any side.
Swindon's captain Alan McCormack is expecting an exciting, open game:
– Alan McCormack, Swindon Town captainThe boys are looking forward to it. It's going to be a good game, an exciting game.
I think it will be an open game, because we're quite a counter attacking side this year, and I think we've shown on Saturday that when we do go at teams and play very well we can open any team up.
Town striker James Collins scored a hat-trick against Stoke in the second round. He's a former Aston Villa youth player, and is looking forward to facing his old team:
– James Collins, Swindon Town strikerObviously we're at home as well which is a great advantage to us, and I think whatever team comes here if we play well we've got a chance.
Our sports correspondent Matthias Kurth will be live at the County Ground on The West Country Tonight at 6pm on ITV1.
