Bristol Rovers away match at Rotherham will go ahead as planned following an intensive operation to clear heavy overnight snowfall from the pitch and surrounding areas.

An army of volunteers helped cleared snow from the New York Stadium pitch, and the referee deemed the pitch playable at an 11am inspection.

Rovers are expected to give a debut to new signing Ryan Brunt. The striker signed from Stoke City in the week on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Bottom-of-the-table Bristol City entertain fellow strugglers Ipswich Town at Ashton Gate today. It will be Sean O'Driscoll's first home game in charge.

O'Driscoll could hand a debut to Brendan Moloney. The defender signed on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest this week.

Striker Sam Baldock could also return after injury, while Paul Anderson has recovered from the dead-leg which he picked up in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Leeds United.
